- Click on the Address Book button.
- Make sure the Personal Address Book is highlighted.
- Click on the New Card button.
This will open a new Card window with 3 tabs to add information in.
- Under the Contact tab fill in the persons first and last name and then copy and paste or type the address you wish to whitelist into the email field.
- Click OK.
or
- Open an email from the sender.
- Click on the arrow next to the senders email address.
- Click on Add to Address Book.
- Edit the users entry.
- Click OK
Next you need to whitelist your Personal Address book.
- From the mail Thunderbird screen, select Tools > Account Settings...
- Select Junk Settings
- Make sure there is a check mark in the box next to Do not mark mail as junk if the sender is in: and that the drop down menu lists Personal Address Book.
- Click OK.

- Click on Tools > Message Filters...
- Click New...
- Name your new filter
- Enter your criteria for filtering.
- Under Perform these actions: choose Move Messages to - Inbox.
- Click OK.

- On the tools menu, click Options.
- On the Preferences tab, click Junk Email.
- On the Safe Senders tab, click Add.
- In the Add Address field, copy and paste or type in the address that you wish to whitelist.
- You can also put check-marks in the boxes next to Also trust email from my Contacts. and/or Automatically add people I email to the Safe Senders List
- Click OK.
To add a Contact:
- Click on Tools > Address Book.
- Choose Contacts.
- Click on File > New Entry.
- Highlight New Contact and click OK.
- Enter the contacts information
- Click on the floppy disk icon to Save & Close.
or
- Open an email from the person you wish to whitelist.
- Right-click the sender's email address.
- Click on Add to Address Book.
- Edit the persons contact information.

- Under the Email Rules tab, choose your Inbox to Apply changes to this folder:

- In the rule description section, click on the underlined values to edit the rule criteria. Click on specified folder to deliver mail to your Inbox.
- Name the rule
- Hit OK.

- Click on Tools > Junk Email Options...
- On the Safe Senders tab, you can manually enter email addresses that will never be treated as spam.
You can also choose to put a check-mark next to Trust email from my Windows Contacts and/or Automatically add people I email to the Safe Senders list.
- Click on Apply and OK.
To create a Windows Contact:
- On the main Mail window click on Tools > Windows Contacts.
- Click on New Contact
- Enter the persons information and email address to whitelist.
- Click OK.

- Click on Message > Create Rule From Message...
- On the New Mail Rule screen select the conditions for your rule.
- Under Select the Actions for your rule: place a check mark next to Move it to the specified folder.
- Under Rule Description: click on the underlined information to edit it. Click on specified folder and then select Inbox under your UH account.
- Name the filter.
- Click OK.

- Fill out the users name and email addresses that you would like to whitelist.
- Close the Address Book.
- Click Save in the Save changes to Address Book? dialog box.
- Click on Tools > Options...
- Click on Junk Mail on the left pane
- Make sure there is a check-mark in the box next to Mail isn't junk if the sender is in an address book.
- If you place a check-mark in the box next to Put Non Junk-ed senders in address book, you will not have to manually enter each entry.
- Click OK.

- On the main Eudora screen, click on Tools > Filters.
- Click New.
- Under Match make sure there is a check-mark in the box next to Incoming.
Note: if you place a check-mark next to Manual, you will have to manually run the filter by going to Special > Filter Messages on the main Eudora screen.
- Enter the condition that you want.
- Under Action, choose Transfer to In.
- Close the Window.
- Click Yes to save the filter.

- Choose your conditions to filter on.
- Under the actions section you also have many options. The option to ensure that you receive this message in your inbox would be.
Perform the following actions: Move Message - to mailbox - Inbox.
- Click OK.
- Mail will ask you if you want to apply your rules to messages in your open mailboxes. Click Yes.
- Make sure that this rule is executed before any other rules such as color coding that might act on this message by dragging it to the top of the rules list.
- Close the rules window.

- Click on New (IMAP) or (POP) depending on which you are using.
If you are not sure which you are using click on Entourage > Account Settings... It should list your email account and whether it's IMAP or POP.
- Give your rule a name.
- Under Add Criterion, choose criteria for your rule.
- Under Add Action, select Move Message - Inbox.
- Make sure there is a check mark in the box nex to Enabled.
- Click OK.
